Sindou:The High Commissioner of L©raba, Yacouba Sawadogo, urged teachers to eliminate laxity and unjustified absenteeism during a ceremony on October 1, 2026, in Sindou. This event marked the commencement of the 2026-2027 school year with a flag-raising ceremony.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the collective and rotating raising of the national colors, established in 2022, aims to enhance civic-mindedness and respect for state symbols. Held every first Thursday of the month, the ceremony was updated in 2026 to occur every two months in different departments of the province, extending the patriotic initiative across the region.

This year's ceremony, coinciding with the academic year's launch, was an opportunity for Yacouba Sawadogo to echo the Minister of Basic Education, Jacques Sosth¨ne Dingara's message, emphasizing ethical practices and dedication to quality work. Students also participated by singing the Ditany¨ in the national language, Dioula.

Provincial director Souro Sanon reported that the academic year in L©raba is progressing well, with a strong commitment to achieving favorable results. Following the ceremony, Adama Sawadogo, President of the special delegation of Loumana, received the torch to organize the next event on November 5, 2026.
