The Youth and Sports Development Center of the Economic Community of West African States (CDJS/ECOWAS), brought on Thursday August 17, 2023 in Ouagadougou, a financial support for the organization of the first edition of the National Sports Games, scheduled for August 24 to September 2, 2023 in Bobo-Dioulasso, we learned from the ministry in charge of sports.
This financial support according to the ministry in charge of sports, “invaluable materialized by the signing of an agreement at the headquarters of the CDJS / ECOWAS in Ouaga 2000, between the Director of the center Mr. Francis Chuks NJOAGUANI and the Technical Secretary of the next generation Sportswoman, Mr. Abdallah GOLO, representing the Minister of Sports, Youth and Employment Dr. Boubakar SAVADOGO”.
According to the director of the CDJS/ECOWAS, the organization of these national games is consistent with the objectives of its structure, which is to contribute to the development of youth in the field of sport, entrepreneurship and any other field which aims to build the capacity of young people and secure their future.
This agreement signed this Thursday commits the two parties to a dynamic of development of both sport and youth, and is in line with the policy of development of the next generation of athletes, advocated by the President of the Transition, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE .
Among the points of the agreement is the support of the department in charge of sports in terms of visibility throughout these games, for the benefit of the CDJS/ECOWAS.
The CDJS/ECOWAS having set the tone, the organizing committee invites the partners who are still reluctant to hasten their steps, because this great activity dedicated to the next generation is a platform for expression, but also a crossroads for all the actors involved. in the field of training and sports succession in Burkina.
The National Sports Youth Games will be held from August 24 to September 2, 2023 in Bobo-Dioulasso and will bring together all the sports training schools in the thirteen (13) regions of Burkina Faso and private sports training structures. small categories in seven sports disciplines.
