Bobo-Dioulasso, The ministry in charge of the digital economy, launched this Thursday morning, in Bobo-Dioulasso, a special Hackathon, which allows young Burkinabè talents to develop digital solutions in benefit of the Defense.
The Hackaton special was launched as a prelude to the 17th edition of the Digital Week (SN) which will be held in Bobo-Dioulasso.
It is held under the theme “Robotics and artificial intelligence at the service of security and defense challenges”.
According to the director of the development of digital expertise of the ministry, Elisabeth Paré / Sanou, “the soldier is expensive and he is sacred because he is one of our brothers who fights for us by exposing himself in our place”.
She added that adding it as tools, innovative solutions to enable it to move away from danger, to be better informed and therefore less exposed, is more than necessary.
Keolid is a partner structure of the Department in charge of Digital and Post in the organization of this Hackathon.
Its director of operations, Charles Yaro, was delighted to see its structure associated with this competition, which allows young Burkinabè talents to develop solutions.
He hoped that at the end of this hackathon, there would be solutions that would boost the efforts already made by the SDF in the fight against the terrorist hydra.
The representative of the Ministry of National Defense and Veterans, Commander Oupouhounla Ouali, welcomed the choice of the theme.
He says he hopes that the innovative solutions that will emerge from this Hackathon session will be in line with the security challenges.
Anything that will allow us to act better on the ground.
For this session, 21 projects were registered.
For 72 hours, the different candidates will face the members of the jury to present their solutions.
At the end of this first day, 10 candidates will be selected for the rest of the competition.
The best innovative solutions selected at the end of the competition will be awarded during the Digital Week which opens its doors on November 9th.
