Parents, politicians, friends, gathered to pay a final tribute to the former mayor of Gaoua , Mihyemba Louis Armand Ouali, who died at the age of 71, on Friday June 28, 2024.After the acquittal presided over by the Bishop of Gaoua, Mgr Modeste Kambou, Louis Armand Ouali was taken to his final resting place at his home in sector 1.With a visibly sad face, the brother of the deceased, representing the grieving family, Paul Gérard Ouali, described his brother as being a man of principle, a rigorous and committed man during his life on earth.For one of his comrades in political struggle, Kodjo Jacques Palenfo, the death of Louis Armand Ouali is a huge loss for him and the entire nation. 'He was not my comrade but my politics teacher. He's the one who taught me everything. I remember from him that he was a man of integrity and who loved his city, his country. He called himself the infantryman of development.'A civil administrator by training, the illustrious deceased was Minister of the Environment and Tourism between 1991-1992. He administered the town hall of the commune of Gaoua from 2000 to 2006 (South-West), and was even elected deputy for Poni. He was a founding member of the Union for Progress and Change (UPC) where he served as Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs before being expelled from the party in 2016.He created with other dissident friends of the UPC, a political party in 2019, the Rally for Burkina (RPB).
