Burkina: The number of baccalaureate candidates down by 25,342

Ouagadougou: The baccalaureate exam scheduled from June 18 to July 5, 2024, concerns 728,264 candidates, ie 25,342 fewer than the 2023 session.The government announced on Wednesday that the school exams and competitions for the year 2024 began on May 2, with the physical and sporting tests and will end on July 5, 2024, with the written and oral baccalaureate tests.The baccalaureate examination is scheduled to be held from June 18 to July 5, 2024, announced the report of the Council of Ministers.This year, there are a total of 728,264 candidates who are seeking diplomas with a view to continuing their school or university studies.This number is down compared to that of 2023 which was 753,606 candidates, a gap of 25,342 people, the council informed.This same council also indicated that among the candidates registered for the 2024 session, there are 402,602 girls and 325,662 boys.Professional aptitude certificates, professional studies certificates and the first cycle studies certificate begin on Jun e 4, the government indicated, before specifying that these exams will end respectively on June 14, 15 and 17, 2024.The primary school certificate exams will take place from June 4 to 13.The government also reassured the candidates of the arrangements made for the delivery of materials on time to the various composition centers and to remove the constraints linked to the use of the SIGEC software with a view to its mastery by the various stakeholders.Source: Burkina Information Agency
