Gayeri: The Secretary General of the province of Komondjari, Mr. Drissa Ouedraogo, delivered a message on behalf of the Prime Minister, urging the youth of Burkina Faso, particularly those in Gayeri, to actively participate in the ongoing revolutionary movement. This call was made during a ceremony at the CNACV site, which witnessed significant public turnout.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Prime Minister commended the Burkinabe youth, describing them as the "lifeblood" of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP), declared on April 1, 2025. The revolution seeks to achieve complete national sovereignty, underpinned by social justice, patriotism, integrity, and solidarity.
The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of young people's involvement in the political, economic, and social transformation of Burkina Faso. He emphasized that by engaging fully, the youth would play a crucial role in building a sovereign nation. The "Revolutionary Youth on the March" (JeRM) initiative was introduced to provide a framework for youth engagement, focusing on awareness, training, and civic mobilization nationwide.
The message also called for the rejection of foreign interference, opposition to imperialism, and protection of the nation's dignity and resources. A collective patriotic effort was encouraged to support the reclamation of territorial integrity and the strengthening of national sovereignty.
Quoting Captain Thomas Sankara, the Prime Minister reminded the youth of their responsibility to propose ideas, express themselves freely, and actively participate in societal development.
The event saw a large gathering, including activities like a fun run and aerobics session, showcasing public support for the initiative. The Prime Minister concluded by encouraging the youth to embrace this movement, viewing it as vital for the revolution's success and the creation of a unified, stable, and prosperous Burkina Faso.
