Tenkodogo: Subscribers of the Cooperative Society with Board of Directors of the Agency for the Promotion of The Buud-Nooma Association of the village of Wamtinga, in the rural commune of Koubri, organized the 5th edition of its annual reunion called “A Weekend in Wamtinga” on June 6 and 7, 2026. The event brought together people from the village residing in different localities in Burkina Faso as well as abroad. Administrative, paramilitary, customary, and religious authorities also took part in the meeting.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the program for this edition included several socio-cultural and sporting activities, such as a women’s cycling race, a p©tanque tournament, a popular fair, a football match, and sessions of joking kinship. The ceremony was co-chaired by Wam-Naaba Sanem, chief of the village of Wamtinga, and Pissy-Naaba Tanga, chief of the village of Pissy. It was sponsored by Hermann Piga Kabr© and Abdoulaye Nana, and by Mariam Nana n©e Ilboudo, Augustine Dao n©e Nana, and Denise Tianhoun n©e Tapsoba.

For this edition, the people of the village carried out a manual drilling intended to supply water to the people of Wamtinga. The event concluded on Sunday, June 7, 2026.
