Nayala: The CEB of Ye emerged victorious in the provincial football championship during the OSCLEP 2026 competition, held in Toma. The team secured their win against the CEB of Toma in a penalty shootout, with a final score of 3-2.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was part of the Primary School Sports, Cultural and Leisure Activities (OSCLEP) competition, which took place over two days. The event, themed “The promotion of sport and culture in primary school, a true lever of resilience, patriotic commitment and fraternity,” attracted participants from the educational sector, focusing on various sporting and cultural activities.

The competition featured aerobics, a lecture on the origin of the San people, local food promotion, traditional wrestling, and student artistic performances. High Commissioner Honore Frederic Pare emphasized the importance of sport and culture as tools for civic education, social cohesion, and resilience while congratulating all participants.

A representative of the event’s sponsors encouraged learners to believe in their capabilities and maintain responsibility and patriotism. The sponsors also expressed their commitment to supporting educational and developmental initiatives in Nayala.

Thomas Garane, the provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education in Nayala, commended the dedication of supervisors, teachers, students, and partners, acknowledging their efforts in making the event successful despite challenges. The ceremony was presided over by High Commissioner Honore Frederic Pare.
