CEB’s Sports And Cultural Activities Launched In Mougue Under The Banner Of Cohesion

Bougouriba/bondigui: The Basic Education District (CEB) Of Bondigui Officially Launched The Activities Of The Organization Of Sport And Culture In Primary Schools (OSCEP) For The 2025-2026 School Year On Wednesday, On The Grounds Of The Mougue Public Primary School, In The Presence Of Administrative, Customary And Educational Authorities.

According To Burkina Information Agency, The Ceremony Was Presided Over By The President Of The Special Delegation (PDS) Of Bondigui, Patrick Bedel Bassi¨re, Alongside The Head Of The Basic Education District (CCEB), Bema Ouattara. It Was Also Attended By Traditional Authorities, Including His Majesty The Chief Of Bondigui, As Well As A Large Turnout Of Teachers, Students, And Members Of The Public Who Came To Support The Various Teams.

The Official Launch Was Marked By An Inaugural Football Match. It Pitted The Mougue School Against The Obro School. After A Hard-Fought And Intense Encounter, The Home Team From Mougue Won By The Narrowest Of Margins (1-0), To The Cheers Of The Crowd.

For This 2025-2026 Edition, Seventeen Schools Will Take Part In The Sports Competitions, While Nineteen Establishments Are Involved In Cultural Activities, Reflecting The Growing Enthusiasm Of Educational Stakeholders For The OSCEP In The Municipality.

Kicking Off The Opening Match, Mayor Patrick Bedel Bassi¨re Reaffirmed The Town Hall's Commitment To Supporting All Initiatives That Contribute To Children's Development. He Assured Everyone That The Municipality "Will Spare No Effort To Support The Development Of Sport And Culture In Schools," Emphasizing That These Activities Are An Important Lever For Social Cohesion And The Promotion Of Talent.

In His Address, CCEB Bema Ouattara Expressed His Gratitude To The Municipal And Traditional Authorities, As Well As To Partners And Well-Wishers, For Their Continued Support. He Commended The Teaching Staff For Their Dedication To Guiding The Students And Encouraged Participants To Make These Competitions An Environment Of Camaraderie And Healthy Competition. "Sport And Culture Reinforce Academic Learning And Promote An Essential Balance Between Body And Mind," He Stated.

The Secretary General Of The School Sports Organization, Abdoulaye Banse, For His Part Urged The Teams To Respect Fair Play Throughout The Three Months Of Competitions.

The Program Includes Football And Athletics, Notably Sprints And Long Jump, For Both Girls And Boys. On The Cultural Front, Students Will Showcase Their Talents Through Recitals, Slam Poetry, Ballets, Traditional Dances, Lip-Sync Performances, Ethnic Parades, And "Little Genius" Competitions.

Through OSCEP, The CEB Of Bondigui Intends To Promote Excellence, Cohesion And The Integral Development Of Students, While Strengthening The Links Between The School And The Community.
