Presidential Initiative Begins Clearing 13-Hectare Agricultural Site In Gaongo

Gaongo: The Clearing Work On The 13-Hectare Agricultural Site For The Benefit Of The Agricultural Volunteers For The Defence Of The Homeland (VDP) In The Commune Of Gaongo Commenced On Tuesday, February 10, 2026. This Project Is Part Of A Broader Presidential Initiative Aimed At Achieving Food Self-Sufficiency In Burkina Faso.

According To Burkina Information Agency, The Clearing Of The Site In The Baz¨ga Province, Located Within The Nazinon Region, Marks A Significant Step In The Implementation Of The Presidential Initiative's Major Projects. This Site Is Designated For Use By The Agricultural VDP Of The Commune, Who Have Been Organized Specifically For Its Operation.

The Commencement Of The Clearing Work Was Overseen By Souleymane Diallo, The President Of The Special Delegation Of The Municipality. Mr. Diallo Expressed Satisfaction With The Project's Launch, Emphasizing Its Importance In Contributing To Burkina Faso's Goal Of Food Self-Sufficiency.
