Celebration Marks Fourth Anniversary of MPSR 2 in Bobo-Dioulasso

Bobo-Dioulasso:The people of the Guiriko region gathered in large numbers on September 30, 2026, at the central town hall square in Bobo-Dioulasso to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the MPSR 2, led by Comrade Captain Ibrahim Traor©. The event featured artistic performances, the broadcasting of the Prime Minister's message, and presentations of achievements since 2022.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was chaired by the Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture, Water, Animal and Fisheries Resources, Commander Isma«l Sombi©. It was attended by the Governor of the Guiriko region, Mariama Konat©/Gnanou, along with administrative, customary, religious authorities, and military and paramilitary officials.

From early in the evening, a large crowd gathered from various neighborhoods of Bobo-Dioulasso and other localities in Guiriko for this national event. Artistic performances and entertainment set the tone, with participants watching Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo's message on giant screens, broadcast from Ouagadougou on Burkina Faso Radio and Television (RTB).

The event highlighted achievements in industrial infrastructure, such as tomato processing plants and TEXFORCES-BF, and progress in health, agriculture, and security sectors. Omar Traor©, the Presidential Special Advisor for the Guiriko region, expressed satisfaction with the celebration and praised the community's mobilization as exemplary.

He noted that the participation reflected the people's commitment to supporting the sovereignist revolutionary movement led by Captain Ibrahim Traor©. Traor© also commended the achievements in security, agriculture, industry, and health over the past four years.

Tributes were paid to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) for their efforts in combating insecurity. The special envoy urged the population to continue their patriotic commitment, enhance civic engagement, and remain vigilant against ongoing challenges.

The celebration extended into the evening at Martyrs' Square, featuring commemorative activities and public entertainment.
