Nazinon: Christian faithful from several churches and evangelical missions in Nazinon observed, from September 10 to 12, 2026 in Manga, three days of fasting and prayer, on the occasion of the 14th edition of the Fast of Esther, organized by the Apostolic Church Temple Emmanuel of Manga under the theme "No despair with the God of hope", taken from 1 Chronicles 4:9-10.

According to Burkina Information Agency, participants engaged in Bible teachings, prayer, and intercessory sessions, focusing on peace, security, and social cohesion in Burkina Faso. Prayers were also offered for families, students, and the country's authorities. Julien Oudraogo, the High Commissioner of the province of Zoundwogo, representing the Governor, expressed support for this annual initiative and encouraged continued perseverance in prayer.

Oudraogo stated that prayer is essential for overcoming difficulties and called for continued intercession for Burkina Faso, urging unity, solidarity, and fraternity against the challenges facing the country. Pastor Camille Bamouni, president of the Federation of Evangelical Churches and Missions (FEME) of Zoundwogo, emphasized the necessity of accompanying human efforts with God's grace to achieve meaningful outcomes.

Bamouni highlighted that human endeavors are futile without divine intervention, and he prayed for God to respond to the prayers offered during the fasting period. He also recognized Pastor Emmanuel Kafando for his commitment to organizing the event annually.

Bassolbou¨ Bayili, chairman of the organizing committee, representing the host pastor, explained that the Esther Fast aims to deepen the faithful's understanding of God and strengthen their trust in Him. Bayili expressed gratitude towards municipal, provincial, and regional authorities for their support, alongside the leadership of the Apostolic Church of Burkina Faso and the FEME of Zoundwogo.
