Citizen Watchdog Associations Donate Over 100 Tons of Cement and 12 Shovels

Kaya: The National Coordination of Citizen Watch Associations (CNAVC), Kouls region branch, has donated over 100 tons of cement and 12 shovels to Faso Mªbo in Kaya. This initiative, which took place on Saturday, January 10, 2026, is aimed at supporting presidential development initiatives and enhancing civic engagement.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the effort was led by the regional representative to the Presidency of Faso, Issa Lagvar. In addition to the donation of cement and shovels, CNAVC/Kouls members participated in the production of paving stones at the Faso Mªbo site in Kaya. From early morning, community members of all ages engaged in activities such as collecting aggregates, mixing materials, and filling molds.

Issa Sawadogo, the secretary general of the CNAVC of the province of Sandbondtenga, emphasized the importance of responding to the call from President Captain Ibrahim Traor, who urged all patriots to contribute to national development through initiatives like Faso Mªbo. Sawadogo commended the commitment of participants, particularly from communities facing security challenges, as a demonstration of their support for a "democratic and popular revolution."

The special envoy to the Presidency noted that mobilization efforts in certain municipalities are ongoing, and that the CNAVC/Kouls's donation will be further bolstered in the coming days. Meanwhile, the Manem-Yam Naaba of Sandbondtenga, a key security figure, expressed satisfaction with the citizen engagement witnessed during the event.

Speakers at the event encouraged other socio-professional groups within the region to join in supporting presidential initiatives, strengthening the collective effort towards national development.
