The prefect, president of the special delegation of the commune of Laye, Seydou Millogo, proceeded on April 16, 2024 in Laye, to the establishment of a commission responsible for the clearance of land liabilities in the municipality. The ceremony took place in the presence of local opinion leaders.The municipality of Laye has set up a technical structure which is responsible for resolving complaints or disputes caused by the various subdivisions carried out in the municipality since 1999.The installation ceremony for the members of the commission took place on April 16, 2024 in Boussé, in the presence of the customary chiefdom, leaders of religious communities, and the coordination of women's and youth associations.According to the terms of the creation decree, the commission's attribution is, on the one hand, to take stock of the urban land liabilities of Laye, to ensure the cleaning and regularization of the minutes of allocation of plots and on the other hand, clean up the land records of the town h all and state revenue and propose solutions for each case of land liabilities.With around ten people mainly from regional, provincial and departmental technical services in charge of cadastre, town planning, estates, the environment and the national police, the commission is headed by Rimninga Innocent Benjamain Yelyaoré, also president of the regional planning and land management commission of the special delegation.The commission has fifteen days to take note of nearly 375 files received by the mayor's rural land department in 2020 and then in 2024.These concern situations of unsatisfied beneficiaries, the presence of graves or places of worship on plots allocated to others, the question of draws among others.The president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Laye, Seydou Millogo, indicated that for the commission it is a question of providing a definitive solution to the problems of urban land in Laye.This, he said, will allow the locality to relaunch its dynamics of urban organizati on, to reassure development stakeholders and to thus be able to best exploit its economic potential while contributing to the consolidation of living together.In this spirit, the PDS urged the members of the commission to accomplish their mission with serenity and in compliance with the principles of transparency, objectivity and loyalty.He invited the active forces of the commune to frank collaboration so that the work of the commission leads to a happy conclusion for the benefit of the entire community.The customary authorities, for their part, expressed their gratitude to the municipal executive for its commitment to the development of the municipality.They also implored God and the manes of the ancestors to protect and guide the members of the commission.Source: Burkina Information Agency
