Committee Formed to Strengthen Security in Yatenga and Kossouka

Nahouri: A committee has been established to consolidate security gains in the recaptured villages. The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Kossouka, Zakaria Konat, convened a meeting with key stakeholders in the commune to discuss the formation of this committee, as observed on-site by AIB.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting included representatives from all communities, vital forces, defense and security forces (FDS), and Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). The PDS acknowledged the dedication of the FDS and VDP, which facilitated the resettlement of numerous villages in the area. The meeting aimed to enhance collaborative efforts to strengthen achievements and provide tangible support for combat forces operating in the field.

The PDS emphasized the importance of supporting the fighting forces through unity and commitment. Adjutant Inoussa Zall, representing the detachment commander, praised the initiative for enabling direct interaction with the residents of Kossouka. He assured the community of the combat forces' dedication to maintaining the town's security and highlighted the necessity of cooperation and adherence to security protocols.

Participant Adama Oudraogo expressed appreciation for the accomplishments thus far and reiterated the community's commitment to aiding the fighting forces until terrorism is completely eradicated. The discussions concluded with the PDS expressing hopes for the committee's success and underscoring the importance of youth involvement in the municipality's sustainable development.
