Ouagadougou: The conscripts put their patriotic commitment into practice by participating in Faso Mbo projects
The conscripts for the patriotic immersion in Manga, divided into two sections, participated on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, in the paving work at the Faso Mbo site of Nazinon, thus translating into action their patriotic commitment, an initiative welcomed by the supervisors and the site manager, Chief Warrant Officer Oudraogo Ernest.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the contingent from the Manga Regional Vocational High School (LPR), comprising 462 conscripts, including 322 girls, rolled up their sleeves to participate in paving the roads. Through this civic engagement, the conscripts intend to contribute to building a new Burkina Faso, in accordance with the spirit of the Faso Mbo initiative.
The conscripts were divided into different tasks. Some were dedicated to making paving stones, while others were responsible for serving sand or operating the cement mixer.
The head of the Faso Mbo site in Nazinon, Chief Warrant Officer Oudraogo Ernest, expressed his gratitude to the conscripts and their instructors for their mobilization. He urged them to maintain their discipline and nurture “this patriotic flame” in order to continue serving the Nation.
For Sawadogo Massoud Abdoul Latif, their participation in the work represents a way of demonstrating their commitment to supporting the presidential initiative Faso Mbo. He also expressed their gratitude to the “monos,” the term used for supervisors from the Defense and Security Forces (FDS).
According to the representative of the conscripts at the LPR site, the contingent deployed to the Faso Mbo site consists of “two sections.” He assured that all the conscripts participated “actively” in the work.
The Faso Mbo initiative was officially launched in the Nazinon region on July 29, 2026, with a component focused on paving and improving the living environment. Since its launch, it has generated considerable enthusiasm, with donations and significant citizen participation.
