Sourou: Dieudonn© Yaro promises to promote sport through training in lower categories. The new provincial director of sports and recreation, Dieudonn© Yaro, indicated Wednesday, during his installation, that he intends to address the challenges of the field through the training of small categories.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Secretary General (SG) of the Sourou province, Wendyam Martial Ou©draogo, representing the High Commissioner, chaired the official installation ceremony of the new provincial director of sports and leisure of Sourou. This event marked the official appointment of Dieudonn© Yaro, who had previously served as the interim head of the provincial sports and leisure department.

In his address, Yaro emphasized his commitment to enhancing the sporting landscape of Sourou by focusing on the development and training of youth in the region. He stated that prioritizing the nurturing of young talent in football, with particular attention to the smaller categories, is crucial for the growth of sport in the province. Yaro assured the community of his dedication to this initiative, aiming to uplift the standards and engagement in sports across Sourou.

Dieudonn© Yaro's official appointment was confirmed at the Council of Ministers meeting on May 14, 2025. His leadership is expected to bring renewed focus and energy to the sports and leisure activities in the province, with the hope of raising the competitive level and engagement in sports through targeted youth training programs.
