Djibasso: Primary education stakeholders were honored on Monday, December 8, 2025, in Djibasso, for their performance on the Primary School Leaving Certificate (CEP) exam, 2025 session. Certificates of merit, bonuses, and various awards were presented to deserving teachers and students.
According to Burkina Information Agency, a ceremony was held to recognize deserving teachers and students for their performance on the Primary School Leaving Certificate (CEP). The Head of the Djibasso Basic Education District (CCEB), Pascal Coulibaly, highlighted the CEB's notable performance in the School Excellence Day, held in Nouna on December 6, 2025. Djibasso distinguished itself by securing second place in the provincial ranking, following closely behind Nouna, which was acknowledged with congratulations from the provincial director in charge of basic education.
At the school level, Djibasso A school was ranked the third best in the province, followed by Djibasso C. These achievements led to the directors of Djibasso A and C, Kayetou Zouri and Adeline Tougma, respectively, receiving certificates of merit. Salif Sountra, a CM2 teacher from Djibasso A, achieved a 100% success rate with his 73 students, earning a certificate of merit and a bonus of 100,000 F. At Djibasso C school, Fatimata Taram and Tchingou Imoma presented 73 students, with 72 passing, and received certificates and a joint bonus of 75,000 CFA francs.
The ceremony additionally celebrated the excellence of CEB students. Two students from Notre Dame de Lourdes school stood out at the provincial level: Liliane Fabiola Boro, the second best girl provincially with an average of 8.91, and Rosario Lionnel Traore, who ranked second in the CM1 test with an average of 9.3. Both received a bicycle and a school kit. Notre Dame de Lourdes achieved a 100% pass rate on the CEP, with all 50 candidates succeeding.
Inspectors at the ceremony congratulated all winners, emphasizing that these results are the outcome of collective efforts within the schools. They encouraged teachers, students, and the educational community to continue this momentum for a successful school year. This celebration of excellence underscores the dynamism of the CEB of Djibasso and its commitment to quality education.
