Ouagadougou: The municipal high school will soon be equipped with a 51 million FCFA perimeter wall: The president of the special municipal delegation, Hubert Drabo, officially launched, on Saturday in Djibo, the construction work of the perimeter wall of the municipal high school, financed to the tune of 51 million CFA francs by the Program for Resilience, Local Governance and Basic Services (PREGOLS).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the official groundbreaking ceremony was presided over by the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Djibo, Hubert Drabo, in the presence of administrative, customary and religious authorities, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), members of the Special Delegation, as well as actors from the educational community and the population.

This project should help to secure and better define the school space, while offering a more appropriate framework for the conduct of educational activities.

Speaking on behalf of the provincial director in charge of secondary education, the principal of the Djibo Provincial High School, Amadou Maga, welcomed the realization of the project, as well as the commitment of the Special Delegation to improving the learning conditions of students.

The parents' representative, Hamidou Sambo Tamboura, expressed his gratitude to the local authorities and their partners. He hoped that other schools in the area would also benefit from similar projects.

For his part, Hubert Drabo, the PDS representative, welcomed the mobilization of the various stakeholders around this initiative. He urged the contractor in charge of the work to respect the deadlines and ensure the quality of the work.

As a reminder, the Djibo municipal high school, closed since September 2022 for security reasons, officially reopened its doors on January 30, 2026. This reopening is part of the gradual resumption of educational activities in the province.
