Ouagadougou: Burkina Faso's ambassador for sport, Charles Kabor, launched a mini-tournament in Ouagadougou on Monday to detect young football talents, in collaboration with recruiters from Turkish first division clubs and the Talent Max structure, AIB observed. The mini-tournament, bringing together 12 local teams, takes place over three days, from September 14 to 16, in Ouagadougou on the Benfica Campus grounds, with the aim of detecting the best young talents of national football.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative is the result of a fact-finding mission carried out in Turkey last June by the ambassador for sport, Charles Kabor, with the aim of establishing a sporting and partnership bridge between Turkey and Burkina Faso. The former captain of the Burkina Faso Stallions indicated that emissaries and recruiters from top Turkish clubs made the trip to observe the performances of the young players.

He mentioned that at the end of the matches, a selection of the best players (All-Stars) will be made to pave the way for direct recruitment in top-level leagues. "Opportunities must be created and sought out, in accordance with the vision of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor," he said, adding that he is working to offer young athletes high-quality platforms to enable them to reach a high level and serve the national team.

The ambassador for sport also praised the work of the Talent Max structure, organizational partner of the event, while calling on young athletes to persevere and be rigorous in their work.
