Abuja: The municipality offers a significant donation of food to the graduates of the Patriotic Immersion program.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the municipality of Djibo made a notable contribution to the Mandatory Patriotic Immersion (IPO) by donating a substantial quantity of food supplies. The donation was presented on Sunday, July 26, 2026, and is intended to support the participants' nutritional needs during the program, which is set to commence officially on Tuesday, July 28, in Soum Province.
The food supplies included six 100kg bags of rice, twelve 50kg bags of rice, three 20-litre cans of oil, a bag of salt, and a carton of food bouillon cubes. The 2nd Vice-President of the Special Delegation of the municipality of Djibo, Comrade Aminata Dicko, officiated the handover, with key municipal service leaders in attendance.
The ceremony also saw the presence of top secondary education officials in the province and organizers of the 2026 Patriotic Immersion edition. The donation was accepted by Comrade W. Salif ZOUNGRANA, Private Secretary to the High Commissioner of Soum Province, who represented the province's chief authority.
Speakers at the event praised Djibo municipality's act of solidarity, which underscores its dedication to youth and its commitment to patriotism, solidarity, and citizenship. They called on participants to exhibit discipline, responsibility, and dedication to ensure the success of this year's mandatory patriotic immersion program.
