Ouagadougou: The Sno Provincial Unit for Mandatory Patriotic Immersion reported on Sunday that donors have mobilized over 375,000 FCFA and substantial food supplies to support new high school graduates involved in a civic initiative. The contributions, which include cash, food, water, cooking equipment, and hygiene products, aim to improve the living conditions of participants in the mandatory patriotic immersion.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Provincial Unit’s report detailed that donors contributed 375,000 FCFA in cash. In-kind donations included 67 50kg bags of rice, six 20-litre cans of oil, 3,065 packets of water, and four water tanks. Additional donations comprised three cartons of soap, five cartons of tomatoes, cooking equipment, and sanitary napkins.

Ousmane Maga, CEO of the company Ndyam Sno, speaking on behalf of the donors, explained that this mobilization was in response to a call from the high commissioner of Sno province. “We responded as economic operators, but above all as fathers,” he stated. Maga emphasized that this collective effort reflects the commitment of Sno’s economic actors and residents to the initiative’s success in strengthening patriotic and civic values among Burkinab¨ youth.

Maga expressed admiration for the positive transformations observed in the participants since the immersion began, noting their discipline and commitment. He urged other economic operators and individuals of goodwill in the province to support this patriotic endeavor further.

Yaya Kon, president of the provincial cell for compulsory patriotic immersion in Sno, expressed gratitude to all donors for their contributions. He highlighted that such support enables effective activity implementation and meets the needs of the young participants. Kon also called on skeptics to join in building the nation and to back initiatives aimed at educating responsible youth.

These contributions underscore the commitment of Sno’s sons and daughters, economic operators, and well-wishers to the new high school graduates. The solidarity demonstrated constitutes a significant endorsement of compulsory patriotic immersion and the training of youth poised to contribute to Burkina Faso’s development.
