Ouagadougou: The Emir of Djibo now rests on his native land of Djelgodji. The Chief of the canton of Djibo, who died on November 19, 2025, in Ouagadougou, was buried this Thursday in the royal courtyard. The Emir now rests beside his late father and grandfather in the royal courtyard. According to Burkina Information Agency, His Majesty Boubacari Dicko passed away in his 70th year. He was enthroned on July 27, 1987, succeeding his father Dicko Amadou Manga, who reigned from 1952 to 1984. Dicko Amadou Manga was the successor to Dicko Bouboucari known as Manga, who held the throne from 1919 to 1952.

Born in July 1955, the Emir leaves behind a widow, seven children, comprising three daughters and four sons, grandchildren, and a community that remains inconsolable.
