Ouagadougou:Houet Eug¨ne Tuina, representing the Bankui region, emerged victorious in the grand final of the 2nd edition of the national oratory competition "Faso'Ora" held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the Monseigneur Anselme Titianma Sanon Cultural Center. The competition addressed the theme "Why does a lasting political transformation require a profound economic and social revolution?" and aims to provide a platform for Burkinab¨ youth to express their patriotism through well-structured arguments.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Eug¨ne Tuina, the newly appointed ambassador of patriotic commitment, expressed his satisfaction at fulfilling a demanding journey. He mentioned, "A great feeling of satisfaction, because it wasn't easy. For this final phase, I was really tired. It's also symbolic for me personally, because it's my last competition in my public speaking career."
Tuina now plans to focus on sharing his expertise with younger generations. He intends to open a training center in public speaking and leadership to guide aspiring speakers, drawing from his experience of starting without a coach and the challenges he faced.
Bienvenue Hounkponou, the general manager of C360 TV, expressed his delight at the successful conclusion of the event. He highlighted the enthusiasm and shared experiences throughout the competition, noting that this year, the ambassador hailing from the Bankui region is a testament to the competition's national reach.
Eug¨ne Tuina received rewards totaling 7 million CFA francs, including a trophy, a check for 2 million CFA francs, a motorcycle-scooter valued at 1.4 million CFA francs, a tablet worth 600,000 CFA francs, and an entrepreneurial project fund of 3 million CFA francs.
