Ouagadougou: An evangelistic crusade for peace and reconciliation of hearts the Federation of Evangelical Missions (FME), in collaboration with Reverend Pastor Yaldia Samuel, organized a significant event in Sapouy, called the "Crusade of the Good News." This event aimed at reconciling hearts and attracting new followers to the Christian faith.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the crusade was under the patronage of Ourob¨ Dioma, president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Sapouy. The event saw the participation of the high commissioner of the province of Ziro, who was the guest of honor, along with customary authorities, several pastors and deacons, and numerous faithful from various localities.
The evening featured moments of praise, prayer, and spiritual dances, conducted by several spiritual leaders. The traditional chief of Sapouy spoke at the event, expressing hopes for the initiative's success and wishing for peace to prevail in Sapouy and across Burkina Faso.
Pastor Enoc Nebi, president of the Federation of Evangelical Missions, conveyed his hope that the prayers from the crusade would contribute to bringing peace and stability to the country. Ourob¨ Dioma, the ceremony's patron, emphasized that the crusade was more than a mere religious gathering. "This crusade is not just a prayer meeting, but a time of restoration, a moment of hope, and an opportunity to proclaim the Good News," he stated.
The High Commissioner of Ziro Province, Saba Zorome, praised the initiative and highlighted its timely occurrence during both the Christian Lent and the Muslim fast. He called for religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence, noting the religious diversity within Burkinab¨ families.
Pastor Yaldia Samuel, the event's organizer, acknowledged the support from various authorities and the mobilization of the faithful. He described the crusade as a celebration and spiritual communion, as well as an evangelization and prayer campaign for Burkina Faso and its leaders. "We have a duty before God to hold our country and its leaders in prayer," he declared.
Pastor Yaldia also mentioned that this was their second visit to Sapouy since 2009, marking the 64th crusade organized by their mission in Burkina Faso. The crusade forms part of a four-day program that includes prayer, evangelization, and deliverance sessions, featuring the participation of Norwegian evangelist Hans Martin.
