Ouagadougou: The activities of the Faso Mªbo agency were officially launched in the presence of key stakeholders from the region. The governor of the Nazinon region, Massadalo Yvette Nacoulma, officially launched the Faso Mªbo initiative's activities on Wednesday in Manga, focusing on its component dedicated to beautifying living environments. On this occasion, she called upon all stakeholders in the region to mobilize in order to sustainably improve the living conditions of the population.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony brought together administrative, customary and religious authorities, constituted bodies as well as many sons and daughters of the region. The governor announced that state services agents in the region mobilized a contribution of 7,131,725 CFA francs and 22 bags of cement, enabling the acquisition of a concrete mixer, two vibrating tables, two compactors, and several other pieces of equipment for the manufacture and laying of paving stones.
This initial mobilization was supplemented by contributions from several donors. NIPAD SA donated 20 tons of cement, valued at an estimated 2,200,000 CFA francs. COGEF-Nazinon contributed 40 tons of cement, valued at 4,800,000 CFA francs. The economic operator Mahamadi Tassembedo donated two tons of cement, estimated at 220,000 CFA francs, while the population of Sondr-Est contributed 110,000 CFA francs as well as equipment worth 207,000 CFA francs.
For the regional authority, this surge of solidarity demonstrates the support of the people for the "bold and revolutionary" vision of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor. She invited all the sons and daughters of Nazinon to maintain this momentum in order to make Faso Mªbo a success in all the communes and villages of the region.
Representing the Director General of the Faso Mªbo Agency, Captain Traor Nasser stated that the success of this initiative cannot be the responsibility of a small group, but rather of the entire population. He urged stakeholders in the region to mobilize the financial, material, and human resources necessary for urban development. He specified that the local beautification component includes the production and laying of paving stones, as well as the erection of illuminated signs bearing each city's symbol.
The interim regional coordinator for Faso Mªbo, Lieutenant-Colonel Herv Lionel Oudraogo, who is also the commander of the Manga National Gendarmerie Group, presented two technical teams that will form the operational core of the initiative in the region. According to him, a "top-notch team" will be responsible for manufacturing the paving stones, while a "decisive team" will handle their installation on site. He called on all stakeholders to join forces for the success of Faso Mªbo.
The president of COGEF-Nazinon, Joseph Rouamba, for his part, invited economic operators to support the initiative in order to contribute to transforming the living environment in the region. The ceremony ended with the symbolic laying of the first paving stones by officials, followed by the planting of seedlings.
