Passor©: The Faso Yaar boutique officially opens its doors in Yako. The High Commissioner of the province of Passor©, Daouda Sangar©, officially opened the Faso Yaar store in Yako on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Located within the grounds of the Yako High Commission, the store's launch ceremony was presided over by Sangar©, with the presence of administrative, religious, and traditional authorities, alongside representatives of the province's constituted bodies.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner encouraged the local population to purchase Faso Yaar products, especially during the period of Muslim and Christian fasting. During a visit to assess product availability, Sangar© and his delegation confirmed the purchasing conditions at the store. Sales agents Samiratou Zoundi and Maxime Zida highlighted that sugar cubes are currently the most in-demand product.

Barth©l©my Doulkom, the cashier at the Faso Yaar store, explained the purchasing process, which involves placing orders through sales agents, validating them, and then registering with a Burkinab¨ National Identity Card (CNIB). Payments are made via Orange Money, after which customers receive their orders and sign a sales receipt. Doulkom noted that this manual procedure was adopted due to the store's sales management software being non-functional, with authorization from authorities to avoid handling cash directly.

Customers at the store expressed their satisfaction with its opening. Abdoul Aziz Tebda and Nanawend© Tago, who purchased sugar, praised the affordability and encouraged others to buy supplies. Tago also expressed gratitude to the government for its support and requested the addition of corn and rice to the store's offerings.

The Faso Yaar shop in Yako offers a variety of products, including SN SOSUCO sugar cubes, 25 kg bags of granulated sugar, cans of SAVOR oil, and cartons of Dafani juice. The shop operates from Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
