Houet: FC Benfica of Finland, donning their black and white jerseys, emerged victorious in the third edition of the Resilience and Solidarity Tournament, clinching the title on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The Finnish team defeated FC Yakari Faso in a penalty shootout (2-1) after the match ended in a goalless draw following 50 minutes of play.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the final of the month-long tournament attracted a significant and lively crowd, featuring administrative authorities and members of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS). The intense match saw both finalist teams striving to score, yet neither team managed to break the deadlock during regulation time.

The match was ultimately decided by a penalty shootout, where FC Benfica of Finland displayed superior skill, securing victory by converting two penalties to FC Yakari Faso's one. This win allowed them to lift the trophy of the third edition of the tournament.
