Ouagadougou: President Ibrahim Traor explained his revolutionary vision of development to students at Nazi Boni University, detailing projects like the Burkina Armed Forces Textile Industrial Complex (TEXFORCES-BF) and the university's amphitheater complex.

According to Burkina Information Agency, President Traor elaborated on his revolutionary economic approach, emphasizing state control over strategic sectors while sharing costs with investors for non-strategic areas. He cited the recent inauguration of TEXFORCES-BF and the amphitheater complex, both financed through national funds under the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP) economic model.

In his address, Traor highlighted the state's full ownership in strategic sectors such as textiles and aviation, using Air Burkina as an example of a 100% state-owned entity. He criticized the classical economic model, describing foreign investment as a form of exploitation where investors seek profit without benefiting the host country.

Traor asserted that revolutionary Burkina Faso avoids foreign funding, opting instead to self-finance projects like TEXFORCES-BF. He noted that while other African countries host textile industries owned by foreign entities, Burkina Faso's industry remains state-owned and independent.

TEXFORCES-BF distinguishes itself by utilizing solely domestic resources, beginning with Burkinabe-grown cotton, to produce fabric. Traor described the complex as a manifestation of the Burkinab¨ people's ambition for sovereignty and independence, emphasizing that their commitment to self-reliance is demonstrated through decisive action.
