Koulpelogo: The provincial section of the Federation of Evangelical Churches and Missions of Burkina Faso (FEME) of Koulpelogo handed over the sum of 115,000 CFA francs to the High Commission on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, to support the efforts to reconquer the national territory. Representing the president of the Federation, the provincial secretary general of the section, Pastor Mahamadou Bance, indicated that this symbolic gesture is part of the church's mission to support the nation in all circumstances.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Pastor Bance emphasized the church's dual role in both spiritual and tangible support, stating, "The Church stands with the nation. It does not only pray, it also acts. That is why, despite the difficult situation our province is going through, we wanted to make our contribution." The Federation unites various denominations, such as the Assemblies of God and the Evangelical Church, along with other missions active in the province and its municipalities.

Upon receiving the contribution, the provincial secretary general Patinde Zoungrana, representing the high commissioner, expressed appreciation for the act, highlighting it as a demonstration of patriotism and solidarity. "On behalf of the provincial authorities, I would like to thank you for this gesture in support of the Patriotic Support Fund. This fund, established by the State, makes it possible to mobilize contributions from citizens to support actions to reclaim the territory," he stated.

He further acknowledged the Federation's ongoing prayers for peace and praised its dedication to the well-being of the people of Burkina Faso. This initiative strengthens the national effort of citizen mobilization and illustrates the involvement of religious communities in the pursuit of peace and stability in the country.
