Flag-Raising Ceremony at Konkuy-Boho School Highlights Patriotic Commitment

Konkuy-boho: The flag-raising ceremony, a symbol of patriotic commitment, took place this Monday, November 10, 2025, at the Konkuy-Boho Public Primary School. The school's principal called upon the community to promote the core values that govern life in society.

According to Burkina Information Agency, after three years of closure, the Konkuy-Boho public primary school began operating at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. To mark the presence of the administration in the village, the school director, Lassina Dama, rallied support around the school to make it a symbol of resilience and patriotic commitment.

For this purpose, the population of Konkuy-Boho, along with the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), came out for the solemn raising of the national flag. After the national anthem, the school principal delivered a message of patriotism and commitment to all participants.

"When you suffer from an ailment, even the best doctor in the world cannot tell you which part of your body is hurting more than you can yourself," Mr. Dama said. He stated that Burkinabe people must address our ills by promoting the cardinal values that govern life in society.

Lassina Dama added that they should not wait for the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, to bring Faso Mebo to Konkuy-Boho, but rather "we must initiate activities beneficial to the population ourselves." The president of the village council, Jean Marie Traore, on behalf of the land chief, blessed all the participants, especially the students and teachers, for their commitment to each of them in their respective areas.

As for the Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Doumbala, Beta Tamini, who was unable to make the trip, expressed his joy through a message of encouragement and congratulations to the teaching staff. The chairman of the school board expressed his satisfaction at seeing the opportunity offered to students to continue their learning, and urged the students to be well-behaved and disciplined.
