Friendly Match Boosts Resilience and Social Cohesion in Ouargaye

Ouagadougou: The team of teachers from the provincial high school of Ouargaye beat the team from the Youth and Action for Sustainable Development (JADD) association on Sunday, by 3 goals to 0, during a friendly match organized by the association, to promote peace and social cohesion. This activity is part of the 2026 action plan of the Ouargaye section of the association.

According to Burkina Information Agency, before kickoff, the Secretary General of JADD Ouargaye, Joseph Beogo, welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of sport as a factor in fostering unity, tolerance, and community spirit. The symbolic kickoff was performed by the officials of both teams.

After an hour of play (two 30-minute halves) marked by excellent sportsmanship, the match ended with a score of three goals to zero (3-0) in favor of the provincial high school teachers' team at the final whistle.

Following the match, the Secretary General of JADD expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event and thanked the guests for their attendance. In turn, the captain of the teachers' team, Thomas Mano, was delighted with the victory, but for him, the most important aspect was the smooth running of the match and the spirit of fair play that prevailed, which deserved praise.

A date was set for similar activities in the future, to the applause of a visibly satisfied audience.
