Gnagna: The raising of the colors reaffirms the commitment of the constituted bodies to the Nation and the AES
The constituted bodies of Gnagna Province participated Monday morning in Bogand© in the solemn colours raising ceremony held at the Provincial Directorate of the National Police. The ceremony, presided over by the Secretary General of the Province, Mr. Mendien dit Moussa Soma, included the reading of the President of Burkina Faso's speech on the occasion of the second anniversary of the Sahel Alliance (SAA), a presentation of the Provincial Directorate of the National Police, and discussions on academic performance in the Sirba region.
According to Burkina Information Agency, at precisely 7:00 a.m., to the sound of the national anthem, the flag of Burkina Faso was solemnly raised at the Gnagna Provincial Police Headquarters, in the presence of administrative, military, and paramilitary authorities, as well as representatives of the province's various public services.
Following the flag-raising ceremony, the Secretary General of Gnagna Province, Mendien dit Moussa Soma, read the message from the President of Burkina Faso on the occasion of the second anniversary of the Confederation of Sahel Alliance States (AES).
In his address, the Head of State commended the achievements of this alliance, founded on solidarity, sovereignty, and cooperation between Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger. He reaffirmed the three states' commitment to strengthening their political, economic, and security integration, while urging the populations to remain united and resolutely engaged in defending the common interests of the AES region.
Next, the Provincial Director of the National Police for Gnagna, Police Commissioner Issa Congo, presented the organization of his department. He outlined its various services, their missions, and their responsibilities, emphasizing the role of the National Police in protecting people and property, maintaining public order, combating crime, and strengthening security for the benefit of the population.
During the various discussions, participants expressed their satisfaction with the excellent academic results achieved by the Sirba region in the CEP and BEPC examinations. They congratulated the students, teachers, supervisors, and parents, expressing their hope that this momentum would continue with equally remarkable results in the baccalaureate exams.
This monthly flag-raising ceremony once again served as a setting to reaffirm the values of patriotism, cohesion, and commitment to the service of the Nation.
