Bogandé:The Provincial Directorate of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DPEPPNF) of Gnagna convened in Bogandé to review its activity report for the third quarter of 2026, focusing on consolidating its achievements and enhancing teaching quality.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session, chaired by provincial director Sylvain Thiombiano, involved heads of internal and external services, as well as the heads of the eight Basic Education Districts (CEB), to assess activities, review results from the 2025-2026 school year, and identify field challenges.
The reports were considered satisfactory by the hierarchy, highlighting Gnagna's top-ranking success rate of 98.60% in the Primary School Certificate (CEP) examination within Burkina Faso. Officials recognized these results as significant achievements to be maintained and improved.
Thiombiano urged stakeholders to sustain the efforts behind these successes, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the province's educational reputation. Discussions among educational supervisors praised work quality in standardized assessments and advocated for continued efforts to enhance evaluations and academic performance.
Challenges in non-formal education, such as language skill deficiencies and lack of equipment, were noted as hurdles for specific centers. The hierarchy suggested involving teaching staff to support these operations.
Promoting school fields and gardens, as well as the inclusion of children with disabilities through transitional school inclusion classes (CTIS), were identified as key initiatives. The 2026-2027 school year began on schedule across all districts, with meetings held to mobilize stakeholders for effective educational reform implementation.
The DPEPPNF of Gnagna plans to strengthen intervention planning, improve teaching quality, and address identified challenges within a context of significant educational and security issues.
