Djibo:Residents of the commune of Pobé-Mengao have successfully raised one million thirty thousand CFA francs (1,030,000 FCFA) to support the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of Djibo. This effort was made as a gesture of solidarity and support for their commitment to national defense.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation was officially presented on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at the Djibo town hall. The funds were received by Hubert DRABO, the president of the special delegation (PDS) of the Djibo municipality.

The delegation responsible for delivering the donation was led by His Majesty, the chief of the village of Kaboret, representing the PDS of Pobé-Mengao and the entire community. During the presentation, Hubert DRABO expressed his gratitude to the PDS of Pobé-Mengao, the residents, and everyone involved in the fundraising effort. He commended their solidarity and patriotism in supporting the VDP's efforts in defending the homeland.
