Gourma/Education : La rentrée pédagogique 2024-2025 lancée

The Secretary General of the Eastern Region, Siaka Ouattara, officially launched, this Tuesday, October 1 , 2024, the 2024-2025 school year at the Saint-Joseph high school in the city of Yendabili.It is with a rise of national colors, in order to awaken the feeling of belonging to the nation and magnify the courage, self-denial of pride and sacrifice of the Burkinabe people, that the 2024-2025 school year was launched on Tuesday, October 1 , 2024, in the Eastern region.The Secretary General of the Eastern Region, Siaka Ouattara, delivered the back-to-school message to schoolchildren, in the presence of administrative, military, paramilitary and educational authorities.According to Mr. Ouattara, this year, the Burkinabe state has undertaken several reforms aimed at making students patriotic and responsible citizens."We have strengthened educational programs to better prepare you to face the challenges of tomorrow, with an emphasis on civic spirit, love of country and entrepreneurship," he told the stu dents.To parents and teachers, in view of their essential role in education, the Secretary General of the region urged them to support children in this quest for knowledge and values.According to the regional director in charge of primary education in the East, David Yentéma Thiombiano, the school administration has in perspective a project to reopen around fifty primary schools and basic education districts with the commitment of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), partners and education stakeholders.'At the post-primary and secondary levels, 10 schools are in the process of reopening,' indicated the regional director in charge of secondary education, Pascal Tiendrébeogo.Mr. Ouattara congratulated the teachers and supervisors who worked despite adversity to raise our region to honorable places in the various school exams of the year 2024.He urged them again to make more efforts to stay the course because it is a challenge for our region to achieve brilliant results.Mr. Thiombiano stressed that the State fights every day to ensure the security and well-being of the population, so no one should give up by giving the best of themselves, whatever the field in which they are located, to achieve this objective.Source: Burkina Information Agency
