Fada n'gourma: A mission from the patriotic immersion coordination committee, led by Larba Pilga, visited Fada N'Gourma to discuss the refocusing of preparations for the mandatory patriotic immersion of new baccalaureate holders of the 2026 session. This event is scheduled to take place from July 27 to August 26, 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting, chaired by Siaka Ouattara, Secretary General of the Goulmou region, reviewed preparations and reiterated new guidelines set by the coordination committee. These measures are intended to ensure the seamless execution of the second edition of the patriotic immersion.

The head of mission, Larba Pilga, stated that the national tour aims to evaluate preparation progress on-site, offer guidance to regional stakeholders, and address shortcomings identified during the first edition. He emphasized that several innovations have been introduced this year, such as a digital platform for managing participant data and an immersion handbook outlining guidelines for stakeholders.

Post-discussion, the delegation and regional authorities inspected sites designated for the future baccalaureate graduates. This visit allowed regional officials to highlight main challenges they face, including inadequate site lighting, the need for toilet sanitation, and suitable classrooms for educational activities during rain.

Acknowledging these challenges, Larba Pilga assured that the coordination committee will strive to provide appropriate solutions before the immersion begins, aiming to offer participants optimal reception and training conditions. Regional authorities affirmed their commitment to supporting this government initiative aimed at enhancing civic-mindedness, patriotism, discipline, and responsibility among new high school graduates prior to entering higher education.
