Abuja: The special delegation of the municipality of Diabo awarded certificates of recognition on Saturday, July 25, 2026, to several natural and legal persons on the sidelines of the day of accountability devoted to the assessment of its management of the 2025 financial year.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the awards were presented to the two best revenue collectors, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), the departmental coordination of women, traders, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), as well as to the citizen watch. The President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Diabo, Sougrinoma Lazare Guira, indicated that this initiative aims to recognize the constant commitment of these actors in supporting the development actions of the commune.
'We are awarding these certificates of recognition to these individuals and organizations to acknowledge their constant commitment alongside the special delegation. Despite the security threat, they contribute to promoting community cohesion, security, and the development of the municipality, and demonstrate exemplary tax compliance,' he said.
Fabrice Couldiaty, president of the Diabo departmental council of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), whose structure is among the recipients, welcomed this mark of recognition. According to him, this distinction rewards the multiple actions carried out by CSOs in support of the activities, achievements and functioning of the town hall.
"The special delegation deemed it appropriate to encourage us to continue in this dynamic so that the municipality remains standing and continues to move forward," he stated. Mr. Couldiaty added that this recognition is a source of motivation for civil society actors.
"It is a great joy to know that the actions we take, whether visible or discreet, are recognized for their true value. This distinction galvanizes us and encourages us to work harder for the benefit of our community," he maintained.
Through this ceremony, the special delegation intends to encourage the various actors to continue their efforts in favor of local development, strengthening social cohesion, security and resource mobilization for the benefit of the municipality of Diabo.
