Nazinon:The governor of the Nazinon region, Massadalo Yvette Nacoulma/Sanou, has urged local authorities to embrace the theme of the second phase of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JNEPPC), focusing on "Made in Burkina," to promote economic sovereignty.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the regional launch of this phase of the JEPPC was marked by a flag-raising ceremony attended by regional institutional representatives. During the event, a message from the President of Burkina Faso was delivered to the participants, emphasizing the theme "Let's produce Burkinab, let's consume Burkinab!" and the slogan "All for Made in Burkina: let's make every purchase an act of sovereignty."
The new phase builds on the previous theme, "My plate, my pride," and emphasizes the interconnected processes of production, processing, and consumption. Governor Nacoulma/Sanou highlighted that these elements are crucial for maintaining a robust economic chain, warning that if one link fails, the entire system could weaken. She quoted the President, stating, "he who feeds you ends up dictating his will to you."
Following the flag-raising, the governor called on local bodies to widely disseminate the President's message and engage in discussions within their services. She encouraged civic involvement, noting that everyone can contribute to the effort within their respective departments.
The ceremony also included a commendation for Inoussa San, CEO of ESIF/BTP, who was recognized for renovating the flagpole of the Manga Governorate. In acknowledgment of his contribution to the JEPPC, he received a certificate, and the governor urged other stakeholders to similarly engage in supporting the initiative.
