Graduation Ceremony Celebrates Young Women Weavers in Koper

Koper: The Secretary General of the Koper Town Hall, Nazirou Anaroua, representing the President of the Special Municipal Delegation, presided over the official graduation ceremony for young women who have completed their training in the weaving trade.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was initiated by the "W´taa" Association of women weavers of Koper and marked the first edition held under the theme: "For the promotion of Faso-danfani, I commit myself." The event took place in Koper on January 31, 2026, attracting a significant crowd who came to support the graduates.

During the ceremony, student representative Nibenaon Apolline Some expressed her gratitude to the administrative authorities, trainers, and parents for their unwavering support throughout the training. She pledged that the graduates would contribute to the development of the weaving profession in Koper.

Dekounwine Jeanine Meda, president of the "W´taa" association, commended the trainees for their rigor, courage, and determination, emphasizing their diligence and punctuality during the training. She encouraged the new weavers to maintain their dynamism as they develop their own workshops.

The patron of the event, Berenger Somda, praised the organizers for their commitment to promoting the weaving profession, expressing hope for even better future editions. He congratulated them on organizing an official outing for their students.

Nazirou Anaroua, the town hall's secretary general, recognized the initiative's significance to the municipality and its alignment with current needs. He extended congratulations to all participants and assured them of support from provincial and municipal authorities in training and job creation efforts for young people. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates and gifts to the graduates.
