The Grand Chancellery of the Orders of Burkina welcomed students from the International Institute of Management as part of the promotion of the different symbols of the State and honorary distinctions, on Wednesday March 6, 2024 in Ouagadougou.'By coming here, the students allow us to fulfill one of our missions, namely the promotion of the symbols of the State,' indicated the Secretary General of the Grand Chancellery, Emmanuel Sorgho.During this meeting, the secretary general spoke to the students about the Burkinabè orders, their history and the different orders that exist.These are the national orders which concern the Order of the Stallion and the Order of Merit of Burkina Faso and specific orders which include, among others, the Order of Merit for Rural Development and the Order of Merit for Youth and sports.Mr. Sorgho also explained to them the conditions for admission to the Burkinabe orders and the disciplinary sanctions that can be taken against members of the Burkinabè Order of Merit, namel y warning, suspension and exclusion.Mr. Sorgho's second communication focused on the symbols of the State which are the emblem, the coat of arms, the national anthem and the motto.'By explaining to them the meaning of these symbols, students will be able to fight against incivility in the country and against terrorism because a person who understands the meaning of these symbols cannot go and take a weapon against the country,' said added the Secretary General of the Grand Chancellery.According to the student delegate of the International Institute of Management, Moussa Diallo, one must know the values ??of one's country to be able to help it and it is necessary for them today to learn from the different institutions of the country in order to be able to provide their contribution.'We are the leaders, the agents of change and the guardians of the heritage of our country. We must strive to be exemplary citizens, aware of our duties to society and ready to serve with integrity and passion,' he added.'
