Djibasso: The Head of the Djibasso Basic Education District (CCEB), Pascal Coulibaly, presided over a significant ceremony to present national symbols to two Franco-Arab schools in Djibasso. The event, held on Monday, April 20, 2026, was part of the "Guardians of the Revolution" initiative, which aims to foster national cohesion and instill a sense of responsibility in younger generations for nation-building.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative, coordinated by Sougrinoma Inoussa Compaor©, involved the donation of flags, masts, whistles, and strings to Franco-Arab schools "B" and "C." The ceremony was themed "National colours at the heart of the construction of a new patriotism among young adolescents," and was attended by administrative, religious, and customary authorities of the locality.
The event is a step towards strengthening national unity and raising awareness among young people about their role in nation-building, emphasizing order and discipline. It also aims to educate students on dignified behavior towards national symbols. The flag-raising session provided students with an understanding of the national colors and the proper conduct during their raising and lowering.
Coordinator Sougrinoma Inoussa Compaor© emphasized that the educational sector holds the responsibility to form an engaged and conscious youth, capable of driving a progressive and popular revolution. This initiative serves as an ideal opportunity to impart essential values necessary for achieving national sovereignty.
Pascal Coulibaly, the Head of CCEB, praised the initiative and encouraged further integration of French and Arabic in the curriculum to meet the evolving demands of Burkinabe society.
