High Commissioner Launches 2026 Baccalaureate Exams in Bougouriba


Bougouriba: The High Commissioner of Bougouriba Province, Amidou Konat©, officially commenced the 2026 French Baccalaureate exams on Tuesday morning, by opening the first envelope of exam papers at examination board number 21, located at the Pierre Kula College (CPK) in Di©bougou. This year, 663 candidates are participating in the exams across three different examination boards in the province.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the official launch occurred at jury no. 21, where candidates of the A4 series began their exams. The province’s exams are distributed among three juries: jury no. 21 at Pierre Kula College and jury no. 22 at the provincial high school, both dedicated to the A4 series, and jury no. 23 at the municipal high school, accommodating candidates from both the A4 and D series.



Before the examination papers were unveiled, High Commissioner Konat©, accompanied by his delegation, visited several examination rooms to encourage candidates and ensure smooth proceedings. Following his visit, Mr. Konat© expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made by the stakeholders involved in the exam’s organization.



Mr. Konat© noted that all necessary measures were in place for the exam’s smooth conduct. He emphasized his support for the candidates, encouraging them to remain calm during the exams.



The High Commissioner applauded the satisfactory commencement of the exams and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to supporting involved parties as needed. He expressed hope for a successful examination session in Bougouriba and across Burkina Faso.



Abdoulaye Sawadogo, the provincial director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training, assured that all organizational measures were taken to address potential challenges. He advised candidates to trust in their acquired knowledge and remain calm during the exams.



Mr. Sawadogo also cautioned candidates against fraudulent activities, stressing the importance of personal effort and dedication. Before departing the examination center, the High Commissioner reiterated his encouragement and wished all candidates from the province good luck.



The first results of the 2026 Baccalaureate session are expected to be announced on Thursday, July 2nd.
