High Commissioner Noufo Dembele Calls for Unified Support Behind Fighting Forces in Koosin Province

Koosin: The High Commissioner of Koosin province, Noufo Dembele, called on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, for strong mobilization behind the fighting forces engaged in the field, during the solemn raising of the colors.

According to Burkina Information Agency, after the national anthem was sung in unison by the directors and heads of departments, the provincial director in charge of Humanitarian Action, Alassane Kagone, expressed his satisfaction with the department's selection. On behalf of people with disabilities and internally displaced persons, the provincial director thanked the administrative authorities for their support and called on humanitarian partners to increase their commitment to vulnerable populations.

The High Commissioner of Koosin Province, Noufo Dembele, reminded everyone that "the JEPPC (European Days of Popular Education and Culture) are not simply about wearing Faso Danfani (traditional cloth) or eating local rice, which demonstrates commitment; rather, it's about behavior and conviction." He urged that people be placed where they are needed and that the right people be assigned to the right roles.

Mr. Dembele also called for strong support for the combat forces deployed in the field. 'A collective commitment is needed to combat these reprehensible behaviors,' the High Commissioner stated. He thanked the traditional and religious authorities for their daily prayers.

As is customary, heads of services, provincial directors, military and paramilitary leaders, humanitarian partners, and traditional, customary, and religious authorities added to the splendor of the ceremony.
