Dano: The High Commissioner of Ioba Province, Innocents Ouattara, called on Muslim worshippers in Ioba Province during the Eid al-Adha prayer to pray for peace to return to Burkina Faso. This call to action was made on Friday as the Muslim community in Dano, along with other provinces, observed the feast of Eid El K©bir or Tabaski.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the celebrations were attended by provincial and customary authorities and the defense and security forces, all led by High Commissioner Innocents Ouattara. The delegation first joined the Sunni community at the provincial grounds for prayers, where Ouattara extended holiday wishes to the Muslim faithful, encouraging them to share with the less fortunate and to pray for national peace.
Following the initial gathering, Ouattara and his delegation proceeded to the madersa school of Dano, participating in prayers led by Imam Sabdina Ciss© of the great mosque of Dano. The High Commissioner reiterated his message, emphasizing the importance of prayers and blessings for the successful fulfillment of their missions and the restoration of peace in Burkina Faso.
Imam El Adj Sabdina Ciss© expressed gratitude towards the provincial and customary authorities for their support. He highlighted the role of prayers in reclaiming the territory and conveyed blessings to the government and provincial authorities of Ioba, underscoring the shared commitment to national stability.
