Bobo-Dioulasso: The Minister of State, Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, visited infrastructures to host the festivities of the 21st edition of the Week National Culture Conference (SNC), on Friday April 5, 2024 in Bobo-Dioulasso, to ensure the level of progress of preparations for the success of this biennial of culture scheduled from April 27 to May 4.Three weeks before the opening of the 21st edition of National Culture Week (SNC), the Minister of State, Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, wants to ensure good organization.To do this, he visited some infrastructures to host the festivities, on Friday April 5, 2024 in the town of Sya.From the headquarters of the SNC, to the National Institute for the Training of Teaching Personnel (INFPE) in Bobo (formerly ENEP), via the Abel Sanou Center (CAS), and the Catholic Organization for Development and solidarity (OCADES), the minister made the tour to le arn about the state of preparations and reception conditions in these different centers.Apart from the SNC headquarters, the other centers are intended to accommodate festival-goers.According to Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, accommodation truly constitutes an extremely important aspect of the organization.For this 21st edition , he confided, nearly 1,500 artists and troupes are expected in the town of Sya.'Everywhere we went, we truly felt that the site managers took an interest and paid attention to the rooms that will accommodate the artists,' he underlined after the visit.According to him, energies are being mobilized to bring everything up to standard so that artists can benefit from a minimum of comfort to be able to have a good week of culture.'The organizing committee is hard at work to ensure everything is ready before the artists arrive. We will engage all the teams to allow guests and visitors to have a conducive setting to express themselves,' reassured Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédra ogo.According to him, everything is ready on the SNC site to welcome festival-goers. For him, within a week the stands will be ready, because the work is progressing in the right direction.'We are leaving reassured by this visit to the SNC headquarters and accommodation sites, reassuring ourselves that three weeks from now we are in the right rhythm to welcome festival-goers,' he noted.There still remains some additional work to be done, notably sanitation, plumbing and lighting, recognizes the minister.It is the INFPE (formerly ENEP) site which will host the majority of the artists of this edition, confided the general director of the SNC, Christiane Sanon.The choice of this site, she said, was made to allow the main actors to be closer to the Maison de la culture and to facilitate their travel.'This will allow them to be closed to the Mgr Anselme Titianma Sanon House of Culture where the Grand National Prize for Arts and Letters (GPNAL) will be held,' she said.The OCADES site welcomes artists from the Malian and Ivorian diaspora.In turn, the DG/SNC ensures that everything is done to ensure a 'pleasant' stay for all the artists.
