Tuy: The municipal police of Hounde organized a motorized parade in the city on Friday, December 5, 2025, to raise awareness among the population about the mandatory wearing of helmets, as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the municipal police of Burkina Faso at the communal level.

According to Burkina Information Agency, nearly one hundred people took part in this event organized by the Hounde municipal police to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Burkina Faso's municipal police. During the parade along the town's main thoroughfare, the participants, comprised of men, women, young people, and senior citizens, raised awareness among passersby about road safety. The municipal officers particularly emphasized the importance of adhering to safety measures, especially for drivers of two-wheeled vehicles.

The commander of the Hounde municipal police, Bakiebie Bamouni, stated that this parade is part of the ongoing 30th-anniversary commemorative activities in the municipality of Hounde. The goal, he mentioned, is to encourage road users to consistently wear helmets. He commended the community's participation and support for the mandatory helmet law, a policy championed by the highest authorities in the country.
