Ouagadougou: On the occasion of the first edition of FESTICAS-International Waterfalls Festival, the Minister in charge of Arts and Tourism, Pingdwendé Gilbert OUEDRAOGOO visited five emblematic sites of the Region during the day of Friday, April 11, 2025. The tourist circuit concerned the Pics of Sindou, the Caves of Douna, the Domes of Fabedougou, Lake Tingrela and the Waterfalls of Karfiguéla.According to Burkina Information Agency, the festival-goers who were also part of this tourist excursion heard Minister Pingdwendé deliver a message of mobilization around the tourist sites and attractions. The minister emphasized the importance of committing to being cultural and tourist ambassadors, highlighting the wonders the country has to offer. He urged everyone to take the initiative to promote these attractions and serve as ambassadors for the nation's rich heritage.The Head of the Department of Culture expressed appreciation for the defense and security forces, as well as the volunteers for the defense o f the homeland, who have played a crucial role in recapturing several tourist attractions. Gratitude was also extended to the tour guides for their significant contribution to promoting national cultural and tourist heritage.FESTICAS activities, which began on April 10, are set to continue until April 13, 2025, under the theme "Burkina Faso, the destination not to be missed."
