Ouagadougou: The High Commissioner of the Ioba Province, Innocents Ouattara, has urged 767 new high school graduates, who have been called to participate in the mandatory Patriotic Immersion (IPO) 2026, to approach the training with humility and an open mind. The official launch of the second edition of the IPO in the province took place in the courtyard of Dakol A and B schools, in the presence of administrative authorities, Defense and Security Forces (FDS), IPO organizing cell members, and secondary school officials and supervisors.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch was marked by the performance of the Ditany¨, speeches, activities by the conscripts, a rebroadcast of the President of Faso's message, and a symbolic tree planting. In his welcoming remarks, Denis Zanr, the prefect and president of the special delegation of the commune of Dano, emphasized the importance of nurturing the youth into becoming role models to strengthen their patriotic spirit and contributions to Burkina Faso's future.
High Commissioner Innocents Ouattara explained parts of the message from Captain Ibrahim Traor, the President of Faso, and highlighted that mandatory patriotic immersion aims to cultivate citizens aware of their duties and committed to values such as citizenship, respect, dignity, and sacrifice. He encouraged the recruits to embrace this training period as an honor and an opportunity for growth and contribution to the People's Progressive Revolution (PPR).
Mr. Ouattara congratulated the graduates on their academic success and expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the IPO's success in the province. He called on the people of Ioba and those living elsewhere to support the initiative's implementation. The training involves 767 high school graduates from the 2026 session and runs from July 27 to August 27, 2026, with Dano hosting a center for the first time.
The participants are divided between the Ioba Provincial High School (LPI) and a second site comprising Dakol A and B schools, Dreyer school, and Jeunesse general education college (CEG).
