The prefect, president of the special communal delegation (PDS) of Zambo in the province of Ioba, Tasséré Badini, officially presented at the town hall of Zambo, to the presidents of the village development committees (CVD) of the 23 villages of the municipality, the receipt for payment of the sum of 738,785 FCFA representing the contribution to the patriotic support fund of the said municipality, on Thursday June 20, 2024.Fundraising for the peace effort was initiated during a conclave between PDS of the commune of Zambo, Tasséré Badini and the CVD presidents.The support of village chiefs for this initiative has generated more participation from the population. Cash and in-kind contributions were recorded.The total amount collected in the twenty-three villages is 738,785 CFA francs. In kind, 7 bags of corn and a bag of rice were mobilized.The Zambo PDS made the payment of the cash contribution to the account of the patriotic support fund for the collection of Dissihn.It is the receipt for this paym ent which was presented to the CVD presidents and village chiefs of the Zambo commune. The PDS congratulated all stakeholders for the success of this operation.'Our commune is relatively peaceful and we have noted that the populations of certain localities have moved for reasons of insecurity,' he said.'In view of the presidential initiative, we said to ourselves that it is necessary that we contribute to the peace effort to support the highest authorities in the fight against the terrorist hydra in Burkina,' added the PDS.Mr. Badini is satisfied to know that the populations have understood the message of the President of Faso.He thanked the CVD presidents and village chiefs for their involvement and the people of Zambo for their invaluable contribution.As for the village chief of Djikologo, he congratulated the PDS for holding this meeting to present the receipt for payment of the funds collected.This demonstrates the transparency of the operation, he continued.
